It was truly an honor.
Truly an honor to anyone is to have known a man who lived life to the fullest. Someone who gave and expected nothing in return. Someone who put his faith ahead of everything else. Someone who lived up to the real definition of a provider to his family. A devoted husband and loving father who fulfilled every obligation and provided for all their needs to the best of his abilities, if not more.
Growing up, I learned many principles that I strive to follow everyday. Value your family like they are the most precious jewels no money can buy. Treasure every moment with them like it was your last. Never let earthly matters get in the way of your relationships. Most important of all, be true to yourself for that is the only way you can be at peace with yourself.
These lessons were never told to me. I simply picked up from how this man lived his life. Never by word but always by example. For that I will forever be grateful.
It was truly an honor having grown up close to this special person.
It will always an honor to have been your son. Happy 40th day in heaven, Dad! I love you! I will always miss you but I take comfort in knowing you are exactly where you want to be.
